Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra Presents: Controlled Burn

Cathedral Bluff Symphony Orchestra is promoting their next performance: Controlled Burn. 

This powerful concert features Juno-nominated Cree cellist and composer Cris Derksen, an internationally respected Indigenous artist originally from Treaty 8, Northern Alberta. Derksen’s work celebrates her heritage — from a line of chiefs on her father’s side (North Tall Cree Reserve) and strong Mennonite homesteaders on her mother’s — and represents an important voice in Canada’s cultural and musical landscape.
